📖 This Week's Story

A long, long time ago, Empress Helena went on a very special journey to the Holy Land. She traveled far to find the most important cross in the world — the True Cross where Jesus showed his love for everyone. She searched and searched in Jerusalem until she found it! When she held it up, people were filled with joy. The church celebrates this discovery every September. The cross reminds us of Jesus's love. In Greek, we call the cross "stavros." Can everyone say "stavros" together?
