📖 This Week's Story

CHRIST IS RISEN! "Christos Anesti!" This is the happiest, most glorious day of the whole year! Early Sunday morning, the women went to Jesus's tomb and found it EMPTY! An angel said: "He is not here. He is risen!" Jesus conquered death! He is alive! And because he lives, we know that love is stronger than anything in the world. At midnight on Pascha, the church goes dark. Then one candle is lit, and the light spreads from person to person until the whole church glows! The priest shouts: "Christos Anesti!" And everyone responds: "Alithos Anesti!" — "Truly He is risen!" Then we feast and celebrate! Let's practice — "Christos Anesti!"
