📖 This Week's Story

Today we'll learn about one of the most beloved saints in Greece — Agios Dimitrios, the patron saint of Thessaloniki. Dimitrios was a brave soldier who lived a long time ago. Even though it was dangerous, he taught people about Jesus. The emperor didn't like this and put Dimitrios in prison. But Dimitrios kept teaching and helping others, even from his prison cell. The people of Thessaloniki loved Dimitrios so much that they built a beautiful church in his honor. Every year on October 26, Greeks celebrate his feast day. He reminds us to be brave and to always share God's love, even when it's hard.
